Page 2 Shamrock fn fymbd The first Sacred Heart students in the long ago found the shamrock to be a fitting symbol in which to en.shrine their ideals of faith in Christian education and later of athletic prowess. They cast an aureole of school spirit about their symbol and passed it down-class by class-until today the Shamrock with all its brightness has become a precious heritage. However, any symbol in order to retain its true purpose and fresh vitality has to be re-interpreted from time to time lest its real meaning fade into mystery. Because of this, the 1959 SHAMROCK has rediscovered its own symbolism.
