• • • Irish Football ’85 Is Leading the backfield for the Irish this year are from left to right: Lonnie Schawang, Anh Tran. Matt Knobbe, David Finck, Raphael Darveaux, David Keithley. and Joe Dixon. The ends for the mighty Irish are from left to right: Greg Slominski, Phil Scheitel, Mike Knobbe, Mike Becker. Brett Keller, and Pat Knobbe. The boys went through a trying season this year, but they still managed to keep their head and hopes up high. A disappointing event happened to David Finck, when he suffered a broken leg. Joe Dixon, Greg Slominski, and Joe Kirkendall received Galaxy All-Conference first team. Lonnie Schawang got honorable mention. They won their homecoming game by defeating the Southeast Mustangs. They finished the season with a 2-6 record. The guards for the Irish included the follow- ing: Brian Witt, Joe Kirkendall, Guy Durr, Ted Bragg, Roger Helmick, Steve Taft, and Danny O’Grady. 18

Volleyball 1985 Spike Looks like Bubs” is getting ready for the next Olympic games! Shell and Chris display the Galaxy trophy that the team won.
