Mark and Scott watch the last game’s plays hoping they’ll improve for their next foe. WHAT? You mean Mary actually is wearing a pep sweater. Janet and her bust. A usual picture. Amy, Janet. Kristi, Gina and Angie pose for the seductive look. Anyone want a kiss? Scott, Greg and Mary seem to find something pretty funny about those trophies. Don’t work too hard on that old yearbook Amy, you might strain yourself! Seniors ’85 Kristi seems to be having a hard time thinking of her speech. 16

The proud Galaxy Champs! Angie Dixon made All-Conference First Team; Kristi Olberding, All-Conference First Team and All-State; Shell Slominski, All- Conference Second Team and Amy Pokorny, All-State. The 1984 Volleyball season was a very success- ful year for the girls. We began the season with a camp held at Falls City High which showed us, and polished up, techniques. As the season wore on we won the Galaxy Conference Tournament and were rated very high in the top ten volleyball team ratings. We won our Sub-District but were beaten by Diller for the ticket to State. At the end of the season, these awards were announced, Kristi Olberding was selected All- Conference and All-State. Amy Pokorny was named to the All-State Honorable Mention list. Angie Dixon made All-Conference First Team and Shell Slominski All-Conference Second Team. We ended our season with a great record and with the talent the younger girls showed, Sacred Heart should be team to watch in the years to come. Gina goes up for a good block while Amy and Janet are behind her ready to cover any deflection. A prayer is said during a pep rally for the girls. 18
