The Rainbow Connection Amy Bauman Chris Knobbe Chris Mackey Phil Scheitel Debbie Schlosser Theresa Sells Greg Slominski Steve Taft The class of '87 was eager to get their freshman year started. About the second week of school the seniors welcomed us by treating us to lunch and a softball game. We participated in many sports related activities. The boys played in football, basketball and track. One freshman girl played all of the girl’s sports. We all helped in cheering on our friends and class members. We also took part in many special activities this year. Homecoming was the first special event. Christmas Formal and the dance was enlightening. The Activities Banquet was rewarding with some of our class lettering and some just honored for their hard work. We worked hard to earn money for future use by cake raffles, and serving various banquets. We also sponsored a freshman dance which was lots of fun. We feel that we have gained much experience as freshmen, and are excited about entering our sophomore year. 4

The Shining Sophomores Roger Helmick Pat Knobbe Shell Slominski The Sophomore class of 1983-84 was small, but raised a lot of money. The biggest money-raisers for them were setting up the concession stands at Junior-High games, serv- ing at various banquets and popping popcorn at High School games. They also had their cake raffles and their days of cleaning Jug Brown Stadium. But, the highlight for them was the ordering of class rings. Various stones and backgrounds were cho- sen and the suspense built till they got them. Another addition to this class was a German foreign exchange student from Bonn. She stayed this school year with Matt Froeschl's home and learned a lot of American customs just as we learned many German customs. From all the work they put into this year - they proved they’ll be a great asset in their last two years at Sacred Heart.
