Annette 9 Keithley, and Shannon Pierson. 7 4 During the 1983 Volleyball season the Lady Irish proved to be one of the top rated teams in Nebraska. At 4 the end of their season the Irish were ninth in the state. This year the Irish captured the Southern Galaxy crown and were runners-up in the Northern-Southern Galaxy tournament. In District action we bowed out in the championship game, taking home second place. Our final record was 12-6. Much better!! Players chosen to All Conference” teams were Amy Slominski and Theresa Knobbe. first team; and Amy Majerus. second team. Amy Slominski went on to receive an Honorable Mention at the State level. We'll lose three seniors this year, but the experience, pride, and goals of the underclassmen will surely take them on to better and higher things next year.
