Blast into Christmas One of the many tradi- tions at Sacred Heart is the Living Rosary. Dan Goltz, Senior class President led the rosary as students walked slowly through the church holding their candles. Tim Slominski portrayed the Christ child as Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Goltz posed as Mary and Joseph. The dance was held on Saturday evening instead of the usual Sunday. Bob Strat- ton provided the music as the students danced the first dance with their parents. As the Seniors trimmed the tree, the Juniors decorated the gym in metallic red, green and silver. The evening left us filled with special memor- ies of the Christmas season. John Dixon takes his turn during the Living Rosary. Students mingle around refreshments during the formal. “Rocket” the night away Ron Hoffman and his date show off their dancing talents on prom night. The theme of this years Junior- Senior Prom was “We’ve Got To- night”. The dance was held in the Elk’s Club Ballroom. The ballroom was decorated by the juniors in the senior class colors, blue and silver. The buffet-style meal of bar- becued beef and or pork, scalloped potatoes, green beans, combination salad, and hot rolls was prepared by the junior’s parents. Strawberry shortcake was served by the fresh- man and sophomore servers for dessert. This year the music was provid- ed by the band “SAVIOR FAIRE” from Lincoln, Nebraska. Chaperones of the dance were the parents of the junior class officers. Many couples and groups posed for prom pictures which were taken again this year by Kevin Binder of Pawnee City. This night and its many memories will be treasured by all who partook in the fun. Middle right: Students mingle at Lisa Keller s pre-prom party before the banquet. Bottom right: Mary Coupe.
