Pictured above are the freshman class officers of the 1981-1982 school year From left to right, they are Mike Frederick. President. Amy Pokorny. Vice-President. Joe Fischer. Treasurer, and Mary Knobbe. Secretary. The class sponsor was Mrs. Schwartz. The Fall of 1981 marked a high point in the lives of fourteen young teenagers. While people around the world were dedling with situations such as the threat of a neutron bomb, the appointment of the first female U.S. Supreme Court Justice, and the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar el-Sadat. these students were entering high school for the very first time. Throughout the year, the freshmen busied themselves in many activities. They participated in the various sports, cheered the teams on at games, provided refreshments at the Christmas Formal, and took part in the Spring Musical. In all they did, they showed much talent and enthusiasm, and they will certainly prove to be important assets to Sacred Heart High School. t Above: Gina enthuslasticaly prepares herself for the ride home after a long day at a track meet At right: Mark shows that everyone likes posing for pictures once m a while.
