As to celebrate the Christmas season, the sophomores decided to play a brisky game of UNO spiced up with some pop so as to make losing easier to take Dennis Bennett takes a break from the strain of typing. Rob Roettger is in a winning frenzy while Dennis Bennett takes it in cool with a pop. While Americans were handling national and international situations like the Presidential campaign and the Iranian crisis, sophomores were also experiencing a new and challenging year. The problems of raising class money were solved by their selling popcorn at basketball games and holding cake raffles. Also entering this whirlpool of events were two new sophomores, Rob and Rhonda Roettger. Naturally, when ideas and decisions were needed, class sponsor Sister Ruth was there to make sure all went smoothly. Of course, nothing could stop the sophomore activities which ranged from girls shouting during pep rallies to boys going out for sports. Nevertheless, other obstacles arose and it was in these situations that sophomores helped each other out. So it is no wonder that the class of '83 survived this school year. Rob Roettger and Bill Helmick loaf around during lunch hour. Denise Yoesel awaits eagerly for another English assignment.
