BELOW: Dennis Bennett pays attention in class, as usual. In August, a dozen freshmen entered the doors of Sacred Heart High School for the first time. Filled with hope and excitement, they prepared to face the challenges of high school, or mainly just those brought about by being a Freshman. Their sponsor, Sister Mary Denise, supervised as officers were elected (Dan Goltz, President; Steve Coonce, Vice-President; Lisa Keller, Secretary; and Chris Rathman, Treasurer) and plans were made for the upcoming year. Their first task was the furnishing of refreshments for the Christmas Formal. This fine new group of students has proven to be a great asset to Sacred Heart High, as they have shown their abilities in all areas of extracurricular activities. 5

Kathy Aitken Mark Bippes Jennifer Burghart Jeff Coonce Jan Fleskoski SAPHIMiRCS The class of '82 entered their second year of high school with much enthusiasm. Under the leadership of the class officers, (President Steve Hoy, Vice-President Ann Frederick, Secretary Jennifer Burghart, and Treasurer Angie Keithley) and the class sponsor. Sister Ruth Barron, cake raffles were held at the home basketball games to raise money for the anticipated expenses that are always arising during high school. Two new students were welcomed into the class at mid-term. Gary Wendtlandt and Don Hoppe joined the class, rounding out the total to 23 and making this the largest class this year. Unfortunately, there was no picture of Don present for this yearbook. Cake raffles were the sophomores' money-raising project for this year.
