Sireen is LINE TIME PLAYERS The pictures on this page are just a few of the scenes captured from the performances of the Sacred Heart Green and White Fine Time Players, a newly conceived group of aspiring young actors and actresses. The group consists of members of the drama class, who, under the direction of Sister Mary Hilaria, produced many enjoyable moments for those who watched their works. The Players, entertained young and old alike as they performed at such events as pep rallies, and Parent Appreciation Night, and traveled to nursing homes to show their wide range of talent.

Senior Class Play At the start of the play seniors Mike Olberding, Dottie Hill, Kdren Marx and Mike Finck gather after a chilling incident. When principal Sister Mary Hilaria presented to the Senior class their Senior play, they took it away with enthusiasm and devotion. The play God's Favorite was presented on a couple of weekends during the school year and character roles were filled way before the first performance. Mike Olberding played the part of the main character Joe Benjamin. The rest of the parts were played through dual roles. Brian Burghart and Bob Stratton shared the part of Sidney Lipton, Sheila Koelzer and Judi Watton the part of Rose Benjamin, Mike Finck and Jon McQueen the part of David, Patti Cowles and Karen Marx the part of Saroch, Dottie Hill and Debbie Nichols the part of Betty Benjamin, Kirby Oliver and Terry Horner the part of the Butles, and Julie Majerus and Natalie Eickhoff the part of the Maid. The play turned out to be very enjoying and successful and it was an achievement the Seniors were proud of. Here you go. Brian Burghart hands Mike Olberding something of extreme value. Oh, dear! Dottie Hill and Karen Marx huddle desparately as the house freezes up. A touching scene between Kirby Oliver and Julie Majurus. 24

Christmas Formal '79 The Christmas Formal was another great time gone by as the students of Sacred Heart left the Tiehen Gym with pent-up excitement on the night of December 16th, 1979. It all started with the Living Rosary, held in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Students of Sacred Heart contributed their own unique voices in saying the rosary, while members of the chorus, directed by Miss Anne Ourada, blended their voices in harmony in Sacred Heart's annual gift to God. Mr. Mrs. Raymond Finck (parents of Mike Finck, the senior class president), and Jennifer Knobbe, daughter of Mr. Mrs. John Knobbe, portrayed the Holy Family. A picture of them is directly above. The senior boys are shown faintly in the background, in the formation of a cross, which was their contribution to the rosary. The music for the formal was provided by the disc jockey, Len Becker, again this year. Sacred Heart students and their dates boogied to the tunes of the Cars, Foreigner, AC DC, and Peaches Herb, among the flashing of colored strobe lights. Beautiful decorations were provided by the junior class, and the mistletoe was a very popular item. Dottie Hill is pictured at right, dancing to the tunes selected by Mr. Becker. The chaperones for the formal were the parents of the senior class officers: Dr. Mrs. Robert Burghart, Mr. Mrs. Raymond Finck, Mr. Mrs. LeRoy Nichols, and Mr. Mrs. Paul Olberding. A special thanks goes to them. 26
