During the course, the juniors acquired three new students: Bill Coonce, Terry Olson, and Mark Bentley (whose picture is unfortunately not present). All acquired during the year was knowledge and friendship. Both traits were present as the juniors raised money for the Junior-Senior Prom and readied the event. Of course, all wasn't work and no play. The juniors acted in the Homecoming skit, a version of “Oh God, along with setting up the Homecoming bonfire itself. Also, the juniors participated in the annual County Government Day, in which juniors take the roles of judges, sheriffs, county clerks, and other government positions for a day. Finally, with all this commotion, some order was needed, so the class officers (Doug Goltz as president, Norb Silva as vice-president, Vicki Rathman as secretary, and Dave Kopetzky as treasurer) took these responsibilities. Indeed, the junior year was a busy one worth remembering and keeping in one's heart. One of the many ways the juniors raised money to finance the Junior-Senior Prom was to hold slave sales. Above, Steve Froeschl moves about restlessly as freshmen, sophomores, and seniors bid for him. The other “slave juniors sit behind, wondering who will be their “master . 8

Bill Coonce and Phil Knobbe glug down some pop after a hearty lunch. The pop machines became very popular during the lunch hour; Janet Tauchen and Joyce Stratton work fruitfully at keeping their seams straight in sewing class, a new class taught by Sister Mary Denise this year; and Dennis Kean and Sharon Tauchen sell raffle tickets for the waterbed donated by Mary's Waterbed Shoppe at a home basketball game in the Prichard Auditorium. The sale of these tickets was just one of the many ways the juniors raised money in their goal to finance the Junior-Senior Prom. 9
