The ballroom aT The WinTield ScoTT l-loTel was The scene aT The annual Junior-Senior BanqueT. The room was decoraTed in keeping wiTh The season and The ever- presenT April Showers. Frank Harrison made an excellenT ToasT- masTer. EnTerTainmenT was provided by The Juniors and dancing was enioyed. So ended our Junior year aT our Alma MaTer. lnci- denTally, The Academic and Commercial classes were To- geTher This year. IT was nice To work and plan TogeTher. All Thanks To SisTer CelesTine, our home roam Teacher, who was always so paTienT and helpTul in making our Junior year a success. THE LAST STEP Upon reTurning To school This year, we were filled WiTl1 a sense oT pride. We had now reached The Top and were given The exalTed name-Senior. This, our lasT year, was one oT dances, yearbooks, proms-yes, and sTudies. A new subiecT was added To The curriculum-Spanish: La proTesora being SisTer Mary MaT- Thew. Our lasT reTreaT, which was conducTed by Rev. Wal- Ter Reilly, S.J., The second week in OcTober, was mosT inspiring. Three days were spenT speaking To God and lis- Tening Tor l-lis message. For The main purpose aT raising Tunds Tor our Year Book, we, Seniors, sponsored a noonday picnic on Novem- ber 23. l'ToTdogs, soda and candy were on sale. ATTer lunch The sTudenTs spenT The remaining Time dancing or around The ping pong Table. The annual ChrisTmas Program was presenTed in The audiTorium on December 2I, A NaTiviTy play, The Promised one , was given by The Seniors under The direcTion oT Miss Marian Rocky. Our Senior Prom was held SaTurday, January 8, in The Grammar School AudiTorium. Amid The gay winTer decora- Tions and soTT lighTs, we danced To The music aT Eddie Gee and his OrchesTra. This is a nighT ThaT will linger in The hearTs oT The Seniors Tor many days To come. This lasT year passed quiTe smooThly, considering all The exTra acTiviTies ThaT piled up.
