VARSITY BASKETBALL e give a generouin A we The Irish cagers ended the season with a good record against their opponents. Under the direction of Coach McNamee, the team defeated some of the outstanding teams in the city-but it surrendered to some of the others. The Saunders Tech game was a thriller all the Way-Sacred Heart froze the ball during the last two minutes of the game to Win by three points. The second game played with New York School for the Deaf was the closest all season With the Irish winning by one point. High scoring records were made by Ioe McCrudden and Tom McPhillips, but every player on the team brought in his share of points. A tense audience watches these impatient hands fight ior the ball. When the high scoring begins the tense- ness disappears.
