I I' ELOYE Ol' H6 SODALITY Composed of dedicated Juniors and Seniors, Sodality is strictly a non-profit organization. Their reward is the self- satisfaction they get from honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary in prayer and with special Masses. Advisor Sister Therese Martin, along with president Sue Roberts and vice- president Louise Phipps, planned ac- tivities with the aged, the sick, and the handicapped. These included visiting nursing homes and driving the elderly to concerts, to name just a few. The Griffin bowling team was one of the best in recent years. Out of thirty-two teams in the GHS League, two teams won the Springfield Tournament and therefore entered the State YBA Tournament. Here in Springfield, Kevin Klyber's team beat a Springfield record in the first round for hav- ing the highest series ever bowled by a five man team - 3098 in the Junior League division. The team placed thirteenth out of sixty- eight teams. Klyber led the team with a series of 501, followed by Jim Enlow, 435, John Forgas, 421, Alan Knuckey, 420, and An- gela Rosa, 419. The team's total was 2196. The Majors Team, led by Mark Hinds, finished tenth out of six- teen teams. Team members in- cluded captain Mark Hinds, Ray Young, Jim Cathcart, Greg Sharp, Byron Lloyd, and Bob Carlile.
