John Lograsso, as president, and Ms. Nan Debrey, moderator, led Griffin's Honor Society, while Kathy Konzel- mann presides over Sacred Heart. Members of the National Honor Soci- ety are honored annually at a Golden Laurels Banquet, where awards and honors are announced and publicized. The banquet, sponsored by the Spring- field lnter-Civic Club, was held on Maylst at the Holiday lnn East. Even though the National French and the National Latin Honor Soci- eties are not active clubs, you cer- tainly cannot say that its members are not active. The girls who were chosen to be part of these societies not only had outstanding academic records, but managed to devote a great deal of time to activities around the school. A Prime example of one of these active club members is Erin O'Brien. Erin also spent a lot of time backstage during school performances helping out with the lighting.
