The Student Senate has typically been known to plan and conduct the Home- coming Dance and events surrounding the total Homecoming week, and it also nominates and picks the Marine Bank Students of the Week. However, that is not all that could be attributed to the Student Senate led by Greg. Besides conducting these tradi- tional events, the group set out after other goals. Three new activities were added to the Senate's list. For the first time, a Christmas as- sembly was heldg a Tri-High Invite was conducted, and a Griffin Month was scheduled. Hopefully, these three new activities will be carried out in the 1979-80 Student Senate. The Spirit week that originated dur- ing the 1977-78 school year was rey peated, complete with a Gong Show, Grub Day, Field Day, and a totally new Almost Anything Goes Assembly with competition between the four classes.
