Lumina na our ni: ii CHIIVIES The Chimes continued its excellent news and sports coverage of Griffin events, and for the same low price of one quarter. Under the leadership of co-editors Greg Forstall and Chris Scruton, along with the help of Moderator Robert Hull, the paper continued its long success story. The Chimes was sold throughout Griffin, Sacred Heart, and Ursuline, along with some mailed copies. New additions to the paper's format were The Unknown Comics, which replaced Bern, Ray and McD , Now and Then , a look at lumni and A Few Words From , a column de- voted to comments from Griffin's prin- cipal Father Erickson. The Senior Spotlight , Athletes of the Month and an occasional Inquir- ing Reporter were features that re- mained in the paper. we Hogan. IHH' IHS? TOWER ECHOS The Tower Echos newspaper was re- vived through the initiation of the SHA l Journalism class. With the help of a new teacher, Sister Annette, a monthly T edition was distributed at SHA and sold at Griffin. Composed of four basic sec- tions: news, features, editorials, and sports, each issue seemed to improve from the last as the new staff became familiar with Journalism techniques, as well as newspaper layout. Editor Tra- , cey Adkins and assistant editor Angela Thieban organized the staff to put out a paper that one sister deemed a very good literary piece. The staff retired with a big farewell issue that included Senior wills and prophecies. Jackie Hiler, Kelly Greeley, and Gidgit Grady show how really versatile the Tower Echoes staff is. i l I Evxxg Q l i 2 T TOWER ECHOES Row 1: Sue Roberts, Neely Erickson, Angela Theiben.
