Sophomore Staff: Kraig Catton, Liza Hoogland, Cori Wall, Joyce Hamilton. 4 Freshmen Staff: Pete Enno, Kathy Ewing, Mike Morris, Diane Ruemmele. Mom, I have to take down Bingo chairs tonight. Could you pick me up at 11:O0? Dad, tonight is yearbook. Can l have the car? We're having an extra yearbook meeting Sunday. Can you drop me off after church? If you were a member of the year- book staff, these phrases became quite familiar in your household. Those extra meetings became more fre- quent as the deadlines became more demanding. But the deadlines weren't the only demanding elements of the year. The editors themselves were also very adept in this process. Captions had to be acceptable, copy had to be readable, pictures had to be present- able, and the end product had to be PERFECT Although the staff members all threatened to abandon the effort at one time or another, everyone would agree that the good times made up for the bad. Yearbook was not only a work- ing place but a meeting place where friendly conversations could overcome demanding situations. :misss-vi , .,., rfiitl Junior Staff: John Mordacq, Debbie Patterson, Laurie Johnson. HIE S UDEIII SHA's Student Council's successful year was directed by president Patrice Schinneer, assisted by vice-president Kelly Forsyth, corresponding secretary Molly Lesh, recording secretary Mary Call, treasurer Debbie Grieser, and par- limentarian Mona Berghoff. They be- gan the year with a bang at the Club Week assembly. The two Student Council sponsered dances were the Christmas Dance and Father- !Daughter Dance, which gave SHA two big nights on the town, one with their dates and one with their Dads. All- school excitement climaxed during Spirit Week, which finished with the movie Lost Horizon. The Student Council next gave alumnae the oppor- tunity to visit the old building one last time on Alumnae Day.
