Object: The object of this game is to avoid being killed by the countless per- ils known to exist in P.E. class. Innu- merable dangers include spheres rang- ing from the size of handballs to bas- ketballs, and bodies flying around, left and right. Many of the spheres, with careful aim and a mighty thrust, are bent on destruction. Yet, other appar- ent dangers include mean spikes, wild dribbles, and vicious gym coaches, not to mention wicked birdie. Winning this game not only means passing the class, but surviving it. Rules: Players must return basketballs, etc., and must shower once a year, whether needed or not. Lockers are to be de-Iiced bi-annually, and cock- roaches exterminated on sight. Dirty socks and moldy lunches should be cleared from the locker area if conditions become hazardous. A health class is offered throughout the school year also. This class intro- duces many new and interesting to- pics, such as the use of a bar of soap, the usefullness of clean underwear, and proper use of deodorants and Ly- sol. The average physical education stu- dent will find his classes challenging and worthwhile if he abides by the rules and regulations set forth above.

Seated casually behind his desk, puffing on a cigarett, Father Egan spoke of his experiences at Griffin during his first months as a teacher. Father agreed with many of stu- dents' hopes for a co-educational school. l think Griffin would be less rowdie if it was not all boys. Coming from a much larger town - Chicago - Father Egan was still excited about coming to Springfield. Although much of the fast-paced ac- tion ofthe big city was absent here in Springfield, Father Egan claimed that Springfield still had a lot to offer. See- ing how Father Egan has fit well into the Griffin community and its activi- ties, one could see that Mick had a H' lot to offer Springfield. W '1im5.,,,H,, ,,. umm Fr.
