O Playing pieces: Animals from aardvark to zebra, and in some advanced mod- els, numbers and formulas. Object: Player is to determine what sci- ence fiction actually is: something car- ried aboard the Enterprise, the Battles- tar Galactica, or something taught in the classroom. How to win:A player has won the game if he can pass the test, whether actual- ly knowing the material or not. lf, how- ever, at the end of the course, the play- er finds that he is showing some of the characteristics of those animals stud- ied in class, he is automatically thrown out of the game. Addendum: When a student has mas- tered the techniques of the science course, he is known as a teacher and should be handled with great care. Fail- ure to do so results in the newly formed teacher having to teach his own class of animals. Rules: All animals must be fed with fact, fiction, knowledge, or off the cuff fibs. lf animals are not fed, they be- come rowdie, abusive, and misbe- haved. Then these animals are known as students. Yr6 O 6' 0 Q . Q. Seated casually behind his desk, puffing on a cigarett, Father Egan spoke of his experiences at Griffin during his first months as a teacher. Father agreed with many of stu- dents' hopes for a co-educational school. l think Griffin would be less rowdie if it was not all boys. Coming from a much larger town - Chicago - Father Egan was still excited about coming to Springfield. Although much of the fast-paced ac- tion ofthe big city was absent here in Springfield, Father Egan claimed that Springfield still had a lot to offer. See- ing how Father Egan has fit well into the Griffin community and its activi- ties, one could see that Mick had a H' lot to offer Springfield. W '1im5.,,,H,, ,,. umm Fr.
