O Playing pieces: Animals from aardvark to zebra, and in some advanced mod- els, numbers and formulas. Object: Player is to determine what sci- ence fiction actually is: something car- ried aboard the Enterprise, the Battles- tar Galactica, or something taught in the classroom. How to win:A player has won the game if he can pass the test, whether actual- ly knowing the material or not. lf, how- ever, at the end of the course, the play- er finds that he is showing some of the characteristics of those animals stud- ied in class, he is automatically thrown out of the game. Addendum: When a student has mas- tered the techniques of the science course, he is known as a teacher and should be handled with great care. Fail- ure to do so results in the newly formed teacher having to teach his own class of animals. Rules: All animals must be fed with fact, fiction, knowledge, or off the cuff fibs. lf animals are not fed, they be- come rowdie, abusive, and misbe- haved. Then these animals are known as students. Listen To The Music One could hardly help but notice the wiry man in the music room and hails of Griffin. Mr. Dennis Beiermann, in his first year at Griffin, helped supply both the enthusiasm and dedication to the mem- bers of the musical department. Without him Griffin would not have had a band at any athletic event, no concerts at assemblies, and certainly no one to provide the feelings that come from hear- ing music. Mr. Beiermann spent countless hours behind the scenes with what he called a group of young but talented musicians. He led the marching band the concert band and the jazz band in numerous re- citals all of which turned out successfull. Looking back it will be hard not to re- member Mr. Beiermann for everyone en- joyed listening to the music cf'- S i in Y ROP P ER'S PP Dl '.-4 i ,J ivy' .4 Sr. Regina Marie, SHA Sr. Therese Martin, SHA Sr. Frances Mary, SHA Sr. Clare Therese, SHA
