Oh, the mustard and potato chips! That does it . . . Now were on our Way. Where? . . . To the beach house at Lake Springfield for the Senior 6 Class day . . . Such beautiful weather for May l . . . The Seniors were accompanied by Sr. Ernestine, Sr, Isabelle, and Sr. Teresita, a Visitor from lackson, Mississippi . . , Wading near the shore line, reclining on the sandy beach, and X dancing to the julie box in the beach house near the indoor fire were a few of the girls' activities . . . ff5 5 I's rg' 47' -uf 4f 2' 497 H Xx ' ' Maw The night of April twenty-seventh holds for the Senior Class memories ot their bon- auet, held in the Sunroom of the Leland Hotel. Reminiscing over tour eventful years togeth- er, they enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner with trimmings complete. For chaperones they were honored with the presence of Mrs. Lloyd Curry and Mrs. English Woods, alum- nae of SHA. Entertainment was furnished by various members of the class. Lourdine Armitage took over the piano for the evening and Mary Agnes 'Wise Alice Kelly, Therese Lonergan, and Shirley Waterman sang tor the group. Sharon Rhodes and Pat Tobin and Helen Iohnson and Barbara Reynolds formed two duets in song. In this melodious atmosphere, a delightful and memorable evening came to a close. - A 4' X, af Z , bf.

As a means of accomplishing this end, various speakers were brought to the Academy. Among these were Father Murphy, speaking on lndia's Missions, Father Evans, speaking on Missionary work in the Pacific, Father Mann, speak- ing on Vocations, Frank Sheed, speaking on The Catholic Mind, Father Mc- Grath, speaking on the CYO May Day, and Miss Anita Blair, speaking on Safety. But foremost among the SSC activities of the year was the traditional crowning of the Blessed Virgin with a wreath of roses in our chapel, conse- crating the graduating class to the care of Our Lady. As the rosary was recited before our crowned Mother, each member of the consecrated class presented her with a rose, a gift prompted by love and devotion to the Queen of Queens and Mother of all,
