We expressed no fear. only expecfancy for fhe ioys we were fo experience in fhe four shorf years before us. I-low lime did fly. Our freshie year was over before we undersfoad fhe dufies of our new life. Two oufsfanding remembrances of our sophomore year were our fofal laclc of seriousness and fhe fhrill which we gof ouf of faking parf in fhe Springfield Cenfennial Pageanf. Our iunior year found us decidedly changed. We were growing up. and we lcnew if. Our childish pranlcs now seemed beneafh us. The Sisfers, formerly regarded as lesson-exfracfing machines, now became our friends. Wifh fhis changed view we launched info our senior year. a busy and happy one. Members of our class held responsible school offices which called for leadership and abilify. l-lowever, we were nof foo burdened fo have some fun. Among fhe unforgeffables were fhe grilling we gave fhe freshies on lnifiafion Day, fhe Chrisfmas parfy, and The Sfreef of fhe Fair wifh ifs colorful seffing, forfune-fellers, and side shows. Our four years are ended. We shall miss fhe social life and fhe in- spirafion from boolcs and feachers. May we go forfh frue Academy Girls-frue fo ourselves, frue fo our Alma Mafer, and frue fo Cafholic principles.
