Many of the experiences students can get from these activities cannot be learned in the typical classroom. Every year, there are exciting clubs that students can join. With over thirty available clubs for Sl-ICP students to ioin, from the Japanese Club to the Big Green. The activity fair was held on September 5th in and the La Salle Plaza. Many students who were already involved with a club' setting their stands up to attract new members. lVlany students es- pecially the freshmen also signed up for new and different clubs. lt was a great way lt was an awsome to start off the year! experience and the Mass beauty was -Armani Cooper CS Melissa Batesting touching to me. l C U1 I n September 'l2, 2007 the Mass of the Holy Spirit, the first mass of the school year took place at St. Mary s Cathedral The Mass was fore most an opportunity to honor God It also was the first time in the school year when SHCP s Block Club Campus Ministry Step Team Choir Concert Band and the newly formed String Ensemble collaborated together The Mass began with prayer which was then followed by the first song Come Holy Spirit The voices of Choir and the attendees filled the Cathedral with consecrated music Honored as the guest speaker for the Mass was Father John Savard The Mass ended with a blessing of the school s student leaders from the SHCP community The combination of exquisite music both vocals and instru mental and the beautiful performance of the dancers made the Mass of the Holy Spirit a great way to begin the school year Freshman Aledia Brown said it was a very uplifting spiritual moment that will last all year long' STUDENT LIFE
