Mr. Anderson, attendance clerk, checked regularly on our absenteeism, kept track of the number of times tardy, and occasionally uncovered our ruses. Good, tall, net-men were a scarce commodity in most classes. l lO's took on a trip to Stanford meant a break in the routine for this group which attended the CCSPA press convention to pick up new ideas on school yearbooks and papers. Relaxing on the steps of Stanford Library between sessions are Jack Glass, Ken Amundsen, Ron LaBarbera, Phil Cronin, and Ed Cosci. sunny October skies greeted the Irish when they met the Mission Bears. Walt Arnold got 8 yards on this play, behind the blocking of Bill ' Hemby, but the Bears put on a splurge in the second half to win, ' 29-0.
