f M, Q S 4 SH 2: 36 pd ll 45 S. i The Trojan team in the above picture are: STAND- ING-Bill W'ilkinson, Tom Amberg, Delbert Folk, Tony Krok, Coach Kempf. Andre DeBel, Don Col- Un lins. Don Horn. and Dave Beard. KNEELINGZ Lar- ry Jackson and George Hurley. Hard luck continued to dog the Trojans, footsteps right through the basketball season, when lack of height and experience brought defeat followed by defeat. Xvith only one player having had any previous ex- perience, the varsity put up a tremendous fight against overwhelming odds. The Academy managed to break into the win Column with a S9-41 drubbing of Gilchrist. Two games were heartbreakers to lose. One of these was a 45-42 defeat from Tulelake in an overtimeg the other was a 37-36 defeat handed out by Henley when they scored a bucket in the last five seconds of play. To coach Jerry Kempf it was also a difficult season-this, his first at Sacred Heart. But the Troians have benefited from his training and look forward to future years under him.

it -,,. .gi 4? 339 ,.,,iqf,1 At the end of a most discourag- ing season, the Trojans found them selves with a record of five losses and one win, the last achieved from a forfeiture by Jacksonville. Lack of size and weight kept a scrappy team from scoring against their heavier and more experienced opponents. Only in the Bonanza game did they get through for two touchdowns. .Gi 4 ' A is L -f -f.-...1-me .A 5 Link le! .-A--hr FOOTBALL SCORES Opp. SHA MERRILL ............ 30 0 TALENT ....ss........ 0 19 CHILOQUIN ..,..... 24 o BONANZA .,.. .... 2 6 13 59 0 MALIN ............i,.i s 'Q E G, . at ici-hi 61 ,L ' E -and V 4
