L ,,,, Q The allelzziaff of A Cappella ring off! for the commemomtiofz of Cl97'lJ'l,.F hirlh, sllweadifzg the Chrisfmas Jpirit. We Brought Gyfts of Song at Christmas Nine days before the birthday of Christ SI-lAers wit- nessed the ever-joyful Christmas story presented by members of the Drama Club, Ballet Club, and A Cappella. Vllith the narrator as their guide, they fol- lowed Mary and Joseph to the Inn of Bethlehem and were dancing with bewildered shepherds in the fields. The bearers of glad tidings appearing to the herdsmen were actually angels from the Ballet Club. As the people came together to worship the new-born Savior, SI-lAers all felt a part of the Celebration. The multitude of Mrs. von Barkhausen's A Cappella, their halos pro- viding a heavenly glow, sang with compassion for the frightened shepherds, with pride during the procession of the kings, and with the final resounding joy of Alleluia. The annual presentation provided for them an hour of entertainment, but more importantly, an hour of appreciation for the glorious birth of Christianity. Uur Seniors Joined the Alumnae Fold Remembering Alumnae Teas of the past undoubtedly brought back many mothers to see their own daughters become members of the Sacred Heart alumnae. For the first time the seniors signed the Alumnae Book and re- ceived honorary member cards. This year there was no speaker but the Tea did provide a chance for the seniors to meet many people and in some cases it was the time for finding out that people they had known for years were also members of the Sacred Heart Alumnae. We Cast cz Mystic Spell That Lmgerecl For the first time in several years dodging puddles and raindrops weren't problems for seniors at their prom. There were many complications though: inviting dates, deciding on the no-breaks, finding THE dress, and even last minute hairdos. Nine to one December 27, was transformed into a world all their own: 'lOur Winter Love. The seniors themselves were transformed from holy navy blue to velvet, satin, and silk. Chet Klein added to the dreams-come-true with his music. But before they knew it the clock struck one and it suddenly hit them as their no-breaks said that the eve- ning was over, that they had actually danced all night.
