SHA debaters argued pro and con for this national topic: Resolved: that Congress should establish uniform regulations to control criminal investigation procedures, Directed by Mr. Vincent Aprile, known by his debaters as Ernst Blofeld, these intellectual speakers won eigh- teen trophies participating in tournaments in Kentucky, Ohio and Washington, D.C. In addition, they stole six out of a possible fourteen trophies at the Louisville Forensic League. Mary jo Wolford was honored as the best Varsity debater and Bonnie Boland was best JV debater in the League. It was not surprising that SHA placed third in the State Tournament. For the first time, RUNE staffers met during the summer to bring out a paper on the first day of school.
