In addition to the annual peas and beans drive for the Little Sisters of the Poor, CSMC incorporated the Rosary and Knitting Circles into the year's agenda. SHAers donated clothes to the drive for the Immaculate Heart Parish. The formation of CHIC-hCommunity High School Inner-City Com- mission-emphasized more than ever the need for com- munity action. SHAKYM discussion groups kept SHAers informed on the various community and world problems. With the end of school approaching, Presi- dent Mary Pat Nolan, moderator Sister Gilbert, and other officers reorganized CSMC and founded CAC -Community Activities Council-instead. With a new organization, SHAers look for an involved year.

To achieve their goal they organized contests and other events, Before the Mug Game there was a bonfire in- tended to beeome traditional. lfaeh homeroom was in- vited to make a float for the game. The winner, 'iMuneh a Bunch ol' Clovers, Carried by the designers from R-317, led the parade of floats. For the basketball tour- naments, President Elaine Brown and Vice-president Ann Maloney decided to have a poster contest similar to the other. Room 305 won this contest. 1968 was the year for attacking apathy and boosting the spirit of SHAers.
