'1 l The determined swimming teamis cheer this year was Soak the Hawks. However, once again the SHA splashers came in second to their foe, Westyuort, in hoth the Wlestport Relay and the State meet. All was not lostg even Westyuort agreed that Sacred Heart car- ried away first prize for spirit. Vilinning the Atherton relay and several events at the State is largely due to co-captains 'lean Jarrell and Trisha Aubrey, talented Kathy Wfyatt, Dinah Wlright, Barhie Ericksen, and many cold, wet, Friday afternoon practices, The swimmers showed their appreciation for Coach Mrs. Sally Roby hy giving her the annual dunking in a Cold pool. Co-captained by Nancy Russman and Elaine Brown, the team remained undefeated with a 5-O record. The highlight of the season was sophomore Ellen McGuire's victory over the high school state singles champ. Seeded number 1, Ellen received the award for the most valuable player and Nancy Russman re- ceived the sportsmanship award.
