His twenty-six years in office make Mr. Charles Evans Hughes dean of all city school superintendents of California. During that time he has built up the Sacramento school system to its present enviable position among the schools of the nation. What leisure he can find Mr. Hughes spends in resting at his beach home or rooting for his favorite foot- ball team-Stanford. The people who give Mr. Jensen his home- Work-the school board and the city super- intendent. Reading from left to right, they are Dr. A. M. Henderson, Dr. John Ken- nedy, Mr. Charles E. Hughes, Mr. J. E. Linn, Mrs. P. D. Bevill, and Mrs. George F. McCormick.

MISS FERGUSON: -'Always the gracious lady, be- sides being a clever and capable vice-principal, our busy Miss Ferguson pauses a moment for us to snap her, In addition to managing the counseling depart,- ment, she must put her O. K. on every program and rally we see. Also she supervises the school clubs and compiles the semester schedule of classes from which the students make their daily programs. MR. LAWSON: The genial smile of Mr. Lawson, our competent vice-principal. discloses his kind na- ture and willingness to help us. He is vice-principal in charge of instruction and curriculum building. His other duties include supervision of student govern- ment, substitute teacher. commencement, and traffic. MISS McGREW: f-Caught in the act! Miss McGraw is having a well earned rest while we snap her. This industrious teacher is the supervisor of instruction under Mr. Lawson, which is quite a task. Miss McGrew has quite a lot to do with student testsg if theres something wrong with your I. Q., she's the the one who will find it out.
