We were glad to have Betty Case from Madisonville with us. Ten students, 6 girls and M boys, came from Island. In the fall of '50 , under the leadership of Miss Lotta Thomas and Mrs. Chloe Blanchard, we began our Sophomore year. We had an enrollment of 16 girls and 17 boys, a total of 33. For various reasons we lost Etta Mae Boykin, Kathryn Brown, Rendell Bracket, Mary Sue Ellis, and Russell Revelett. Mary Sue re-enrolled with us at the be- ginning of our second semester. We were sorry to lose one of our sponsors, Mrs. Chloe Blanchard, but we welcomed our new sponsor, Mr. Virgil Quirk. We began our Junior year on September l, 1951 with Miss Jo Anne Potts and Mr. Paul Phillips as our sponsors. We had an enrollment of 13 girls and 16 boys. During the summer we lost Sue Carol Steven, who moved to Madisonville, Morgan Plain, who moved to Owensboro, and Sue Carol Latham, who moved to Holland Michigan. During the year we lost Betty Case, Ronnie McE1wain,and Carl Cabbage. On April ll, 1752 the Juniors gave the Seniors a banquet. Our theme was Hhawaiiann. We, the Seniors of 1952-53, entered school on Septemoer 2, l952 under the sponsorship of Mrs. Elizabeth Stroud and Mr. A. L. Stringer. We had an enroll- ment of ll girls and 15 boys. We were glad to have Sue Carol Latham back with us, although she later married and did not continue her studies. we were also glad to have Mary Sue Ellis from Calhoun to enroll with us. Jackie Gibson, who attended school in Chicago the first semester, returned to continue her studies with us the last half. We, the Seniors of 1952-53, hope that each student will have a happy and prosperous future. Mary Frances Baggett Compliments Of SIJUNIiEH 'S C!XFfE Sacramento Kentucky 10 A I'l'lel'L . as ia!
