College students in the year 1955 are to be congratu¬ lated upon the opportunities which confront them when they leave college. Business, manufacturing, scientific activities, con¬ struction and government, among other groups of employers, will be bidding for the services of these well-trained young people. This means that you will be able to contribute to the economic progress of our country as well as to provide ade¬ quately for your material welfare. The satisfaction of material needs is only a small part of the complete life. The resurgence of Church membership especially among young people indicates that the spiritual needs of students are being more adequately met than they have been during the past generation. More ac¬ tive participation in local, state and national affairs, is to be ex¬ pected because of the increased awareness of the importance of every citizen partaking in reaching sound decisions in these areas. J. Paul Mohr, President
