PIONEERS TODAY ... LEADERS TOMORROW We are the first to live in the Supersonic Age; but the problems that face us today are as old as man . . . and the solutions that we apply to them will influence all the generations to come. Perhaps that is why we students are here. We know that education is the only effective instrument that may be used to carve a better world; and we are not willing to trust the sword to the hands of a boy. Many of us saw death on the battlefields of the four corners of the earth. We visualized that for which we fought; and now we are here to prove that we can erect palaces of peace as well as level the legions of war. World-weary ones, make room for us Your skepticism cannot stop us and your failures will only spur us on.... Throw not your challanges forth in jest for we shall answer them with action. Like David of old, we shall keep faith with God and with ourselves and go forward to do battle with the giant, world unrest and insecurity. If you will not march with us, then stand aside and let us, who are enthusiastic to tackle the new era, pass. Page 9
