Sacramento is a fast combat support ship assigned to operate with strike forces neces- sitating fast handling of cargo. Elevators, package con ve yors, fork trucks, and sophisticated automatic cargo equipment ha ve provided rapid transfer of materials from Sacramento to her customers. Two Boeing CH-46 jet turbine helicopters add another dimension to Sa- cramento 's ability to transfer freight, mail, personnel, provisions, and ammunition.
