Through the year, the guiding hands of our teachers have daily led us down the paths of learning toward a wider conception of our heritage. Now, through the medium of hands, we have endeavored to mirror the scenes you helped make complete, the people with whom you associated, and the activities of which you were a part. We therefore dedicate to you, the students, this 1951-S2 Chieftain, an achievement made possible through the co-orrlimfifm of minds and hands. The team held its own in the way of prestige by placing five men on the All-Conference team and seven on the All- County team. An outstanding quality of each member on the squad was his willingness to report for practice every day. This is well illustrated by the fact that with the exception of two excused absences, all of the original 43 gridders reported for action the final practice. 1 Sai' Cily Opponrnfs 27 , Storm Lake . 6 27 South Sioux City, Nebraska 0 39 , , jefferson , 13 12 , ,,,, ,, Harlan , ,, W 7 41 , Rockwell City , 14 W 6 , ,, Denison H 21 19 ,, Odebolt , I9 6 ,, , , Carroll , I3 19 , Ida Grove 6 1 XXMVS' fi iw it :W so' was H., , vupava i W ?vC'7'omY T.D. for Sm' Cily. Although Sac City completed a none too successful season, the boys benefited greatly through their association with one another and opposing teammates. The highlight of the season was Sac City's victory over Carroll. This year's season can be credited with building material for future years.
