AFS The American Field Service extends scholarships to foreign study pro- grams and arranges for U.S. and foreign youth exchanges. Ana Vega of Costa Rica, Central America, lives with the Hobart Wikle family and attends SHS. Cultural exchanges are of great importance because they enable people to understand politics, religion, and the social life of their countries. This year, out of my own country, things will have a great influence in the formation of my personality, and it will help me a lot in the future — not only the practice using another language, but all I have learned. It's a little difficult to be alone in another country, but also it is won- derful to see how people try to help me. I think Sabetha should not only receive students from other countries, but also encourage Sabetha stu- dents to visit other countries. Ana M.
