Time at Sabetha High is filled with so many experiences and emotions that the human eyes and soul are the only cameras capable of capturing all incidents of a year gone by. A sounding bell warned new faces of a year just begun as the air conditioner began its task. Its job was made easier as President Ford asked the American people to cut down on the use of energy due to an energy shortage. A great battle took place as the new students learned about the stubbomess of combination lockers. Cleated shoes put a football team into motion nicking the goal post as the chilled autumn responded. Cool weather gave way to a Thanksgiving snowstorm. What next??? Santa, with well-developed vocal cords, visited S.H. S. to present a pack of toys to the basket- ball boys. A season of giving brought much enthusiasm and An Old English Christmas Dance . January left much snow, many sniffles, and a new govenor for Kan- sas, Governor Bob Bennett. The winterish weather gave the cooks' simmering chili a pleasing aroma as chow time grew closer. As winter came to an end, the bas- ketball court became filled with silence. Spring opened as dandelions blossomed on the green lawn, the birds returned to the flagpole, and the hands off policy still prevailed. Spring music contests creat- ed many headaches, but the outcome proved rewarding. Excitement was on the rampage as the year grew to an end. Each student ended the year in his own way. Some moved a tassel and carried a diploma, while others carried a report card labeled next year's Junior or Senior . All were ready and willing to give the halls of SHS a rest. .. 2
