I hope each high school stu- dent will use his time wisely so as to be mentally and spiritually prepared for the future years beyond high school. Good luck to each of you. William Eisenbise, pres. Congratulation to the grad- uates of 1974. I hope the ed- ucation you received at Sabetha has helped prepare you for your future years. We on the Board of Education are happy to be able to help in the educational program. Donald Montgomery I believe that in our United States we have better opport- unities for education than in any other country in the world. It is my hope that all students of our community will avail themselves of these opportunities. William Deaver pursuing -these words taken from the school song are as apt today as when my moth- er's class wrote it 46 years ago. An education is more meaningful when hard work is involved to achieve it. Gary Tyler My aim is to present the type of education that will help our students face the problems of the future. Thomas Gold Each student owes it to him- self to obtain the best educa- tion possible. It is the duty of the teachers, administrators, and board members to make it happen. Elgin Flott Harold Jones, Jr.

It is a privilege to tell a distinguished group of young people that they are important in today's world. It is an even greater pleasure to remind this same group that it will be the world of tomorrow. Those of us re- sponsible for your education sincerely hope that we provide you with the tools to operate the world of tomorrow. It will be your responsibility to use your education to make whatever changes and additions become necessary. I extend to each of you best wishes for complete success as you assume your responsibilities. Mr. Cleavinger TO THE CLASS OF 1974: I would remind you, as you complete your education in our community, that education is not an end in itself. Rather, education is a beginning —to make a good living; a beginning to make a good life. I wish for you success in both. Mr. Lauer TO THE SENIORS OF '74: It is my fervent hope that each of you pursue the road to a healthy conscience with unaltering vigor. In this fleeting life, it is the great- est of goals. It separates the right from the wrong, the ideal from the inferior and the inspirational from the mundane. May your accomplish- ments be many and your return to the home of your youth frequent. I commend you on your good works this year and wish you continued suc- cess. You've set a good example for other students to follow. Mr. Figgs 5
