It is a privilege to tell a distinguished group of young people that they are important in today's world. It is an even greater pleasure to remind this same group that it will be the world of tomorrow. Those of us re- sponsible for your education sincerely hope that we provide you with the tools to operate the world of tomorrow. It will be your responsibility to use your education to make whatever changes and additions become necessary. I extend to each of you best wishes for complete success as you assume your responsibilities. Mr. Cleavinger TO THE CLASS OF 1974: I would remind you, as you complete your education in our community, that education is not an end in itself. Rather, education is a beginning —to make a good living; a beginning to make a good life. I wish for you success in both. Mr. Lauer TO THE SENIORS OF '74: It is my fervent hope that each of you pursue the road to a healthy conscience with unaltering vigor. In this fleeting life, it is the great- est of goals. It separates the right from the wrong, the ideal from the inferior and the inspirational from the mundane. May your accomplish- ments be many and your return to the home of your youth frequent. I commend you on your good works this year and wish you continued suc- cess. You've set a good example for other students to follow. Mr. Figgs 5
