FRONT ROW: Linda Kruse, Marcena Meister, Bonnie Clark, Cathy Blair. We, the Bluejay Staff of 1967, have worked long and hard to produce this, The Bluejay yearbook for the students of Sabetha High School. We hope it will serve as a treasure-house of many pleasant and unforgettable memories at S. H. S. We have enjoyed making this annual and we hope you enjoy reading through it. We wish to thank the many advertisers and faculty for their assistance on the making of this annual. Also a special thanks goes to Miss Mahar for her fine as- sistance as Yearbook advisor. Without her help and the help of others, this year- book would not have been possible. 3

What Will I Leave? What will I leave when I leave these halls? The excitement of first days these last four falls. And what will I give to those entering in? The hope of things precious about to begin. What will I leave as I walk out that door? Would wisdom be mine had I tried a bit more? What will I give to those entering in? The hope of things precious about to begin. What will I do when I must say good-bye? Will I feel that a part of me is about to die? What will I say to those taking my place? Will I wish them luck as they begin this race? I'll think of the crowds and the games we've had Perhaps at first it will seem a bit sad. But I'll remember I must give all of this And maybe won't notice all I have to miss. What will I leave when I leave this school? Have I used this building as education's tool? What will I leave those about to learn? Will I let them know they've the torch to let burn. What will happen to the school spirit I leave now? Will it keep its gleam—it must somehow. The smiles, and jokes, and all our friends, Will they be the same when our school days end? What of the clubs and the dances, too? Will they be as fun without me, without you? Will the teachers and classes still be the same When the roll call no longer includes my name? Of course, the school will do fine without me. But I'll miss it - that's plain to see. The future will be mine with better things ahead, But I'd gladly trade them for high school years instead. The school song still will ring in my ears As I walk out these doors after four great years. But high school's only a step along life's way And being an adult is great, so they say. What will I leave with when I leave Sabetha High? What makes it so hard to say good-bye? Perhaps I'll be sad when I walk out that door. But I'll see in a moment what the future has in store. 2 Francine Stuckey
