This year's Kay club carried on an active social and service program. Among their projects were labor donations to teen-town, Kay-sponsored dances, the annual minstrel assembly, a CARE package, and about fifty pounds of candles to be sent to overseas countries. The boys molded these candles from clear wax and colored them. They sent delegates to the Northeast Kansas district convention and contributed financially to the State organization. This was the first year the Kays have won the 4, 000 point award.

KAYETTES Kayettes, the largest girls' organization in school, have contributed to school life by sponsoring school dances, homecoming festivities, an assembly, and a Mother-Daughter banquet. They worked this year for the 6000 point award by doing such things as making favors for hospital trays, cleaning trophies, sending a CARE package, giving baskets of food at Christmas, and in general worked for the betterment of the school and community.
