It includes liberal arts subjects as well as the technical home economics studies. Home economics students are expected to acquire the appreciation, understandings, and techniques needed to help their students improve all aspects of family life. Of necessity, studies are varied, since the youn g woman is expected to develop an ability to participate in community activities as well as teach specialized homemaking skills. Thus, the home economics curriculum encompasses any matter dealing with family life.
