Dr. George W. Angell, President Each year the new Cardinal staff is faced with the prob- lem of preparing a document which will adequately ex- press the many facets of college life at Pittsburgh. This is truly a tremendous responsibility since it is the Cardinal which finds a cherished place in the home of each alumnus and alumna, and it is to this publication that for many years to come our graduates seek re- freshment of wonderful memories about college life. It is indeed a tribute to the staff that this year ' s Cardinal has caught the spirit of brotherhood and scholarship which encourages each Plattsburgh student to l ecome all that he is capable of becoming. Every page portrays a unique way in which students have accepted the many opportunities for developing leadership as mem- bers of a profession dedicated to the maximum develop- ment of dignity and worth in human life. 8
