JUNIORS As wc approach the end of our Junior year, wc look back and realize how short the time has been since we first entered this university as Freshmen. Even less time remains before wc leave to take our place in the world. Yet the memories of our years here at Pittsburgh will al- ways be with us. As the proverbial frosh, we faced the ordeals of Freshman hazing, but wc were soon oriented and organized as a class. We came into our own as Sophomores when it was then our privilege to initiate the Freshmen into the many phases of college life and to entertain them at the Sophomore-Freshman party. We then turned our thoughts toward the Sopho- more Soiree, which proved to be one of our most successful social affairs. Our second term was climaxed by the enjoyable Sophomore-Freshman picnic. The expecta- tions of our Sophomore year were realized and surpassed, offering impetus to our desire to become Juniors. Mr. W. Raymond James, Class Advisor. LEFT TO RIGHT: Clarence Yando. President; Marjorie Haskell. Recording Secretary: Donald Lewis. Vice-President; Juanita Lazorc, Treasurer. NOT PICTURED: Georgia Stack- house, Corresponding Secretary. With the arrival of our Junior year, the realization of the responsi- bilities that have been and will be placed upon us could be seen with more clarity. These semesters were filled with duties, both academic and social. Success accompanied our classmates when they were elected to various school offices as it also accompanied us through our Junior week, which was high- lighted by our coronation, variety show and prom. Now we arc looking forward to our Senior year, not because it will mark the close of our college life, but because wc feel that it will enrich our friendships and provide that final step in our development as leaders.
