3n JWemortam Dr. Walter L. Taylor No words can express our grief at the loss of our dearly loved adviser, Dr. Walter L. Taylor. More than an adviser, he was indeed our friend, guide, teacher and counselor. Each year our college enriches its tradition and plans anew for the years that lie ahead. The 1947 C A R D I N A L records this grow- ing tradition and visualizes for all of us the ever-expanding future of our college. For stu- dents and faculty these pages mirror the ever- flowing current of our college life. The memories which our yearbook so viv- idly recall will be ever more alive as we turn these pages again and again. From the memory of yesterday and today comes the plan for the greater future which our college will achieve. Thus the future becomes a part of the present. The annals 01 our yearbook commemorate most aptly our life together. The blending of past, present, and future dramatizes for all of us the wealth which comes from our com- mon association. In this, my greeting to you, it is a privilege to read of your happy yesterday, to know of your understanding of our college today, and to envision with you our shared hope of what the college may be- come.
