ASSOCIATED WGIVIEN STUDENTS The purpose of Associated Women Students is to estab- lish a democratic form of government forthe strengthening and improvement of each woman student, thereby increas- ing her ability and desire to fulfill the role of a competent woman through constant growth academically, culturally, and socially. The executive board of this organization leg- islates all matters pertaining to the women students within its jurisdiction and coordinates recommendations between the Administration and the women students concerning matters of general welfare. RESIDENCE HALL Enrichment of the cultural, educational, and curricu- lar atmosphere of the Oswego campus is the goal of the College Union Board of Managers. The Board coordi- nates all Union events including weekly films, major campus weekends, concerts, dances, and selected rec- reational activities. The thirteen members of the Board of Managers govern the use of Hewitt Union and coordi- nate the efforts of the large number of students en- gaged in various Union activities. lVlEN'S COUNCIL FIRST ROW: N. COLLEGE The M.R.H.C. consists of two representatives from each men's residence hall: the hall president plus an elected representative with an alternate. The council was formed in the spring of 1963 to act as a voice for the men in residence to the administration, the student government, and the student body, coordinating resi- dence hall functions, assisting residence halls with self- government, and sponsoring social activities for the men in residence. M.R.H.C. co-sponsors Parents' Week- end each fall with the Associated Women Students and sponsors open houses in the men's halls in December. UNION BOARD OF MANAGERS
