FIRST ROW: L. Lazarski, C. Heppeler, J. Hettinger, Coach Tom Murray, J. Vredenburgh. C. Nlyers, R. White, J. Oddo. SECOND ROW: Mgr. J. FRESHIVIAN BASKETBALL Finishing their season with four victories in a row, the junior Lakers finally came on strong to complete their first season of college basketball successfully. The final count gave the Lakers a victorious ten-win and seven-loss record. Ball control and tough man-to-man defense proved to be the winning formula in hard-fought victories over out- standing Buffalo and Cortland freshman teams. Bill Forster sparked the frosh with his steady scoring, re- bounding, and all-around play throughout the season. Cal Adams, Doug Weidman, Chet Misztal, Norm Fredrick and Bob Joyce provided considerable rebounding and scoring depth, while Jim Hettinger, Bob White and Chuck Heppeler were the backcourt mainstays. These and several other members of Coach Tom lVlurray's successful team have the potential for varsity berths next year. 177 Nichol, D. Weidman, J. Levi, E. Contant, B. Forster, C. Adams, N Frederick, R. Boxley, R. Joyce, C. Misztal, Mgr. C. Annal.

X - . - SWIMMING Splashing their way to the best season in the school's history, the 1964-65 swimming team, under the direction of Coach Dick, found its long sought-after standing performances by members of the team over- shadowed the overall team record. Nine of the eleven school records and two school records fell to the men of Oswego. The pool records, set by Norm Harvey in the breast stroke and Doug Endicott in diving, set the pace for the performances by Tom Weil and Joe Rotolo in the freestyle and John Marshall in the back stroke. The highlight of the season was the 57-38 victory over Plattsburg in the final meet of the year. This avenged last year's 47-48 defeat. Next year's outlook is bright as the entire team shall be back, although Joe Rotolo will graduate next January.
