The OSWEGONIAN has kept in pace by expanding from a four page newspaper to a six page edition with a whole page devoted to Industrial Arts and another page to the creative writings of the students. The staffhas strived to rep- resent fairly all sections of our enlarged student body and such features as Ulfddie Kation, '4Veterans News and My Daze have become an integral part of the paper. This year's OSWEGONIAN owes its suc- cess to the splendid co-operation of the staff and to the expert guidance of Miss Gladys Gambill, faculty adviser.

It now boasts fift members, all active in P Y play Writing and production, acting and committee Work. In the fall term the club presented The Petrified Forestu by Robert Sherwood, which starred Patricia Churchill and William Dovesmith. In the spring term it presented '4Candida by George Bernard Shaw. Throughout the year one-act plays under student direction were presented in the college chapel, and nearby communities. During the fall term the leaders ofthe club were Presi- dent, Al Roccig Vice-President, Don Gilbert, Treasurer, Bernice Leavitt, Secretary, Dorothy McKeon. During the spring semester Don Gilbert and Betty Hutchings took over the duties ofthe president and secretary, respectively, Who were practice teaching. 34
