All labor with three main goals in mind: to inform the readers, to present information that is food for thought and stimulates interest, and to make the Leader a newspaper of which the college can be proud. it ROBERT GOETTEL. I'1'f.vi1lfu! of Slmffzzf Cmrzirfl The main objective of the Student Government Association this year has been to bring the structure, functioning, and coordination of student activities up to the point where the student body could hope to see the ideals of student government which have been envisaged so well in past years. To accomplish this end, several structural changes were made. A major innovation was the establishment of the Wel- fare Commission set up to handle student interest, in 5. health, food, housing, and parking. The long standing tradition of cooperation and mutual respect between the administration and stu- dents was preserved by S. G. A. through a critical period of misunderstandings about the health situ- ation. This is just one illustration of the important position S. G. A. holds as a democratic link between faculty, students, and administration. . -I. ll li is Q E ri gy 'ID ' , E Left to Right-J. Washer. Secretaryg R. Goettel. President: W. Persia, Treasurerg J.
